CAREER HIGHLIGHTS, CHRONOLOGICAL: Though relatively still a newcomer to the art photography world, Richard's career has developed rapidly. Here are some of the key points, so far-
1998- For fun, begins taking photos of then girlfriend (now wife) Nancy using a "Point & Shoot" camera- though only twice in this year.
1999- Buys his first SLR camera, a Pentax MZ-5. Begins course with the New York Institute of Photography, and learning photography becomes a new hobby.
2000- Begins photographing models, and opens his first website, called "Photodreams" (closed in 2002). Sells his first print. Richard considers 2000 as the year he began his career as a photographic artist.
2001- First serious exhibition, a six-week show in his native Chicago. First magazine publishing (PhotoWorld). First trip to Europe.
2002- Relocates to Paris. First European exhibition. Wins photographic award at prestigous Festival du Nu at Le Corbier, France. First European magazine publishing (VSD, Paris).
2003- First compilation book publishing, an 11-page photo essay in the glamour-art book "Hot Cheeks". Begins working nearly exclusively with Slavic models, and relocates to Prague.
2004- First solo book is published, "Reanna's Diaries" (Edition Skylight, Zurich), which is a stellar success and sells out it's first printing within a year. Incorporates The Richard Murrian Atelier, s.r.o., and begins working in Kiev.
2005 (so far)- Production work begins on his second book, "Women & Girls", to be published in early 2006. He and Nancy make their return to Paris, dividing their time between homes in Paris & Prague.
